We have a sweet spot for Bethany as she graduate from our teacher training here at SHIFT. She studied under Jessie and we couldn't be prouder of the teacher she has blossomed into.
She promotes an authentic, non judgmental space filled with immense compassion. She weaves through thought-provoking meditative messaging that empowers students with wisdom to use in their everyday lives.
Inspired By: A huge inspiration and mentor on my yoga journey has been Shift’s fearless leader, Jessie Kates! Her commitment to authentic self and connecting with others has transformed my yoga practice and my evolution from student to teacher.
Favorite Pose: Any kind of reclining twist.
Morning Ritual: Early mornings are my absolute favorite! There’s no better way to start the day than in stillness with a short meditation, taking some time to write down things I’m grateful for, and enjoying a cup of coffee while I journal before my kids wake up.
1st Yoga Experience: In my late teens my mom and I took a class together at her gym. I was in awe of the calm that it created in my body and mind. I was hooked!
Favorite Food: There are simply too many to choose! Having spent a year teaching abroad in Seoul in my 20’s, I definitely have a soft spot for Korean food.
Family: I am truly blessed to be mother to my twins - Lily and William. They constantly inspire me to be the most authentic version of myself, providing me with endless giggles and precious memories.
Favorite Destination: The beach!
Why You Love Teaching: I love the connection yoga offers - connecting through shared energy during class, hugs before class, and getting to meet and learn all about the beautiful people that find their way to Shift Yoga.
When you aren’t teaching you are: Spending time with my young twins, gardening, cooking, connecting with family and friends, and practicing mindful living.
