Meet the remarkable Women who make this community a joy to be a part of. These divine goddesses are profoundly passionate about sharing yoga and fitness with our community.
Our yoga teachers all bring a trauma-informed, compassionate lens to the art of teaching yoga and have a fierce desire to make yoga more accessible.
All our strength coaches are certified personal trainers who bring a hormonal informed approach to lifting weights to help Women not only look better but transform their health from the inside out through strength training.
There is no greater group of Women in one place in our opinion. These magnificent women are warm, authentic, and present every day for our community. We couldn't be more grateful for their contributions to this studio. They are a gift and we love them deeply.

Amy Cooper (she/her)
Amy has a passion for the healing arts and loves connecting with practices that bring us home to ourselves. She loves all things yoga and find beauty in both the power cultivated in a good flow class and the art of surrender learned in a yin class.

Beth Safeer (she/her)
Beth brings a light, infectious zest for connecting. She is deeply warm and energetic and her laugh is super contagious. She enjoys sharing the practice with our community and is deeply committed to her own practice.

Bri Alexander (she/her)
Bri has a profound gentleness that makes her magic when she plays sound healing instruments. Her joy for the path comes through with every strike of the gong. She brings an open comforting energy into the room that makes all tension melt away.

Bridget Wang (she/her)
Bridget loves empowering Women through fitness. She has been in the fitness industry for years, which gives her confidence and expertise to support Women at every stage of their fitness journey. She deeply enjoys coaching the SHIFT community each week.

Casey Wade (she/her)
Casey loves finding new ways to take yoga far beyond the mat and into everyday life. She is an advocate for creating a practice that is welcoming and embraces people's unique needs. She shares belief in our mission that yoga is for everyone and creates classes rooted in this belief, offering options for all.

Cierra Slade (she/her)
Cierra's classes offer a warm, welcoming space to become more present and explore interconnectedness of breath, body and mind. Her principle intention is to share the practice in a way that is accessible to all, to meet people where they are, as they are.

Delphinia Brown (she/they)
Delphinia brings a love for the softer side of the yoga practice to life in deep and meaningful ways for our community. A Yoga Therapist in training, she understands the profound healing affects of yoga on the nervous system and enjoys weaving these tools into her community classes at SHIFT.

Felicia Ho (she/her)
A breast cancer survivor, she utilized the message of cancer, and her unique background with Asian healing arts as an opportunity to radically change her life and to redefine her life purpose. Teaching qigong presents a perfect amalgamation of Dr. Ho's background, interests, and life passion in supporting the human journey towards greater physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness.

Jakea Copeland (she/her)
Jakea is a powerful strength coach. She embodies woman empowerment with every expertly led rep. She loves supporting the women in our community to feel the best in the bodes and minds and makes every workout a flawless blend of hard work and fun!

Janelle Peoples (she/her)
Janelle deeply enjoys blending her dancer background into her yoga classes to provide students with a fun approach to movement on their mat. She is committed to providing comprehensive education and holistic health service to ALL with a focus on the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Jess Homer (she/her)
Jess is a skilled space holder and she is one of the most grounded and down to heart Women on our team. She brings a simple sweetness to the practice that allows students to come home to themselves.

Jessie Kates (she/her)
Jessie brings a rare blend of wisdom, empathy, and skill to every class and training session. As a seasoned yoga teacher, yoga therapist and certified personal trainer, she’s known for creating empowering, inclusive spaces where people—especially women in midlife—feel seen, strong, and supported. With a deep understanding of movement, hormones, and mindset, Jessie guides students toward sustainable strength and lasting self-trust. Her teaching is rooted in science, shaped by experience, and delivered with heart.

Julia Shelton-Otten (she/her)
Julia is our prenatal expert and she is cherished teacher in our community. Her slow flow classes invite curiosity, laughter and authenticity. She doesn't take yoga too seriously and has a unique skill for inviting in depth and space for students to discover movement that feels best in their bodies.

Kaitlin McClain (she/they)
Kaitlin has a vast knowledge for fitness and injury prevention. She comes to us equipped with a strong Physical Therapy training that allows her to infuse her coaching with a strong understanding of how the body works and how to adapt exercise to your bodies unique needs.

Lisa Rados (she/her)
Leading with the breath, Lisa guides us through a practice filled with inquiry. Lisa believes in yoga as a life practice, one that helps us both physically and mentally to move through life with a greater sense of ease and peace.

Liz Yasechko (she/her)
Liz is a strength coach her at SHIFT and she bring a love of the transformative power of building strength to the studio. She loves supporting Women to find their strength through thoughtfully designed classes that help Women reach goals they didn't know their body was capable of.

Maya (she/her) & Buff the Service Dog
Maya, an Army Veteran lives with PTSD and Buff has been instrumental in her healing. Buff is trained by Warrior Canine Connection and supports Maja with things like nightmare interruption, trigger interruption and offers mobility support for Maja. If you are lucky enough to enjoy a class with them, Maja will guide you with gentleness and love while Buff rests by her side on her yoga mat for the duration of class.

Nancy Kochuk (she/her)
Nancy brings such positivity to each and every class. In addition to teaching breath-focused yoga classes, she serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Prison Yoga Project of Maryland.

Shavon McCown (she/her)
Shavon is a favorite here at SHIFT for her divinely relaxing restorative class. She holds the most beautiful trauma informed space for folks to just be on their mats, just as they are. Her deep reference for the tradition of yoga is inspiring and you will find immense peace and ease in a class with her.

Sophia Selene (she/her)
A dancer all her life has led Sophia to gravitate to the flowy graceful side of yoga movement. She loves a juicy flow class and loves helping student spark the divine feminine within themselves. She studied here at SHIFT and is delighted to teach in her yoga home.

Stacey Dawis (she/her)
Stacey has an impressive skill for program design and her strength classes are sure to get you the results you crave. She make fitness accessible with her vast knowledge and we love the passion she has for Women's health.

T Obiaya (she/her)
T studied here at SHIFT and has a deep appreciation for the roots of the yoga tradition. She upholds them with grace and ease. Her presence is so deeply grounding that she is a natural for the restorative and yin yoga practices. She loves the deep peace found on the mat and delights in helping students discover that peace wtihin themselves through movement.

Taylor Hitaffer (she/her)
Taylor strives to create gentle and inclusive yoga flows She aims to empower students with a self care practice they can cultivate on and off the mat, using wellness that taps into their inner strength and wisdom. One of the things we love most about her, is her natural comedic timing - she is hilarious and the ham of our teaching family.

Tessia Knight (she/her)
Tess has a deep passion for yoga and loves being a student of the practice. She has a fondness and a skill for teaching many different styles of yoga. She has a deep appreciation for the power of a good hot yoga class and loves guiding students to discover a sense of purpose and ease in each posture.

Tyauna Bailey (she/her)
Her time as a track athlete in high school layed a foundation of strength and conditioning that Tyauna has ever forgotten. It lead her to work in the fitness industry and fostered a strong desire to help others find their inner strength and fierceness.
